Nowhere do they claim to be archivists, nowhere do they claim to have compiled every scientific article from every course worldwide.
But of course, they don't have to. It has been done by every University with a Climate Science course. These days, with the Internet, it's not difficult.

But in particular, be the very fact that cooling was the accepted story and the one being discussed in general.
And that's exactly what the chart proves is not so. I could produce many more with exactly the same result if you'd like. Here's one:

I stand firmly by my recollection of the times as it was on many peoples minds.
I can't argue with your personal recollections. But my recollection is very different.

The entire subject of climate is more complex than scientific knowledge, we are at the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to understanding all the forces that make up climate.
So because you don't understand it, neither can the scientists who have been studying it for the last 150 years? Or is your argument that since they don't understand every aspect down to the tiniest detail, all of their knowledge is bogus?

How are you at atomic physics? Could you build an atomic bomb? Atomic Physicists don't understand every aspect of that subject either. They still have unanswered questions at the quantum level. So I guess Hiroshima was a myth.
I'm just not buying your attempt to rewrite the history of four decades ago. I know what I read and witnessed back then and so does everybody else. had it been warming that was emphasized, then the news and media, and educators would not have grabbed on to cooling. So I'm out of this conversation, we see this differently and that's fine. Believe as you will.
