There is going to have to be some adjustment somewhere down the line, as you say, they use the roads but buy little or no fuel. But I'd wait until the subsidies come off Big Oil. The only catch is, I think the subsidies are federal, the gas tax is state. |

Brew, The computers in the electrics have already got the answer built in, even to the point of time/place use taxing, just has to be used.

Tom, in California they passed new gas taxes today to compensate for lost revenue due to the drop in gallons used. They passed Hawaii in the area. Of course the guy running his Volt in the electric mode can care less. |

The Chevy Volt is very popular in our area. it beats the sale of Prius Per capita, it sells 3 times more in Quebec than the USA and 5 times more than the rest of Canada. Hydro Quebec has already installed nearly 150 charging stations Restaurants and other business owners, shopping malls, office buildings are adding stations to the developping network. In all cases, accessing those charging stations only cost $2,50 for the car owner. |

Just to keep this conversation balanced "the Government Motors Volt is a POS and needs taxpayer subsidies to sell. Too expensive and you have to be a fool to buy one".

Probably working on the road. He was somewhere in the east the other day. Since the military can't afford all the airshows, he'll probably have more spare time down the road. |
