Yep Joe, that is the goal of both men, to get elected. One has a record that resulted in the closest race I can remember. One is hope, the other is a record. Which would a laid off guy or hungry mother turn to?
The guy who's party did not destroy the economy. The guy who does not think so little about the US that he puts his money in other countries
Laid off guys and hungry mothers are focused on their pain Joe, not who did what eight years ago. They have an immediate itch that needs scratching. I believe the election hinges on the very basic needs of Americans, the rest is just fluff.
I disagree. You are basically calling them stupid. people for the most part are not stupid. While the right live in a bubble, many of the poor do not
I'm not calling anybody stupid Joe and you know it. People who are out of work or struggles, are going to focus on those issues. This is basic human instinct. A hungry mother watching her kid go to bed hungry does not give a rats ass about the middle east. They worry about their lost job and the economy in general. As people become employed and have full bellys, then they look towards other issues.

If I'm wrong, Obama wins, but i don't believe human nature will change in the next two weeks.

How at this point can anyone be undecided? Have they been living in a cave for the last year? I think the undecided voters just don't want to commit publicly.

Unemployment is high and growth is slow. Romney's economic fix is a 20% tax cut to stimulate the economy. But, wait 47% of filers pay no income tax, so a 20% tax cut won't put any more money in their pocket. And, the rest will get their deductions eliminated to pay for the tax cut. Now, if you think that is going to stimulate the economy I got a bridge to sell ya. :teeth:

So, his tax cut is revenue neutral. But, he plans on spending more on the military and reducing the deficit. The only way that works is virtually eliminating all entitlement spending. Pulling that much money out of the economy would surely drive us into a severe recession, not to mention the horrendous cost to society.

Who is stupid enough to buy into this Romney version of voodo economics? It's total BS, and there is no way it will work.

I want to see how the 12 Million jobs will magically appear. Maybe it has to do with magical skivvies.
Perhaps those other 11 million folks will do as Pat suggested a few months ago - earn a good living by mowing lawns. LOL

If Romney does win, lowering taxes for the wealthiest,
cutting programs for everyone else,
you kiss the remainder of your economy goodby!

I hope that those of you on the right do not find this too
too much of a price to pay to remove the interloper from the White House!

When the two men discussed the middle east, they both seemed in agreement on how to proceed. The turning point came when Romney brought up the fact that America was weaker today because our economy was weaker. That America has less influence in the world because we are a much weaker nation, have regressed with four years of Obama rule. Therein lies the hurdle that Obama must overcome.

Would you say America is weaker today than it was back in, oh, 1937 or 1938?
