Since the records are accurate, there is no reason to think fraud was involved.

And think how big the number is - less than 600 records out of about 10 million people!

That's an error rate of 0.006% - you want to waste Million$ of taxpayer dollars to chase that, when there's no indication of fraud?

Insanity.

The way the system was setup, if they didn't have a birthday for the registered voter, the system defaulted to 1900. The people voting weren't really 112, it was just a fluke in the system. They could have made the default 2000. Then it would looked like they were too young to vote. Seems it would have made more sense to leave the field blank, but apparently the system wouldn't accept that.

Which means that they have no idea who is voting since they do not have voter ID.

Another dumb assumption. They know who is voting they just don't know the correct age of some of them.

Without the age how do they know that a 20 year old who is voting claiming to be a 70 year old(remember they do not know the age of the 70 year old) is or is not the real person?

Mistakes happen, this voting machine was not calibrated. Every election we run into hanging chads or some malfunction. I suppose it evens out, in Ohio a swing state, one of the companies Mitt started up is in charge of handling the voting apparatus. Maybe the NC problem evens out in Ohio,

GREENSBORO, N.C. –The presidential election is just around the corner and voting issues have already become a problem in Guilford County.

On Monday, several voters complained that their electronic ballot machine cast the wrong vote. All the complaints were made by people who voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location.

One of the voters, Sher Coromalis, says she cast her ballot for Governor Mitt Romney, but every time she entered her vote the machine defaulted to President Obama.

“I was so upset that this could happen,” said Coromalis.

Guilford County Board of Elections Director George Gilbert says the problem arises every election. It can be resolved after the machine is re-calibrated by poll workers.

“It’s not a conspiracy it’s just a machine that needs to be corrected,” Gilbert said.

After the third try, Coromalis says she was able to get her vote counted for Gov. Romney but was still annoyed.

“I should have just mailed it in,” Coromalis said.

Marie Haydock, who also voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location, had the same problem.

“The frustration is… every vote counts,” said Haydock.

Elections officials say the machines have been fixed as of Tuesday, and no problems have been reported since.

Early voting ends November 3.
