What is the difference between/among Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi and Bashar Assad? They were all dictators who killed thousands of their own people. Why is it the West must go to the people's aid and when the West does, one is termed a "humanitarian effort" and another an unjust war? What difference does it make to the thousands being killed by their own leaders? Russia and China don't seem too concerned about it. Who else doesn't seem too concerned about it... I mean in terms of actually doing much about it..... I mean in terms of spend money, sending munitions, sending troops.... to help. Money is tight the world over.... WHO's going to contribute? WHO's not? The Killing Fields "Despite the huge risks involved, the time has come for the West and the Arabs to intervene in Syria" Do you really think the Arabs are going to contribute much? I mean, they talked the talk over Libya but then failed to walk the walk..... And of course Russia and China went about their business. But now:
NATO! NATO and the Arabs again. Okay. WHO is going to contribute. Which of the 28 member nations of NATO are going to contribute? The Arabs will talk the talk again. Russia and China will go about their business (except Russia and Iran may continue to funnel in some weapons for Assad's use against the effort). AND, probably 75% of the NATO nations will contribute NOTHING again. No troops. No munitions. No money..... like for the Libyan humanitarian effort, so that the Muslim Brotherhood can finally take over the government. Edited by Banandangees, Oct 22 2012, 11:58 PM.
