Whatever they are doing it seems to have raised the average IQ in Canada. Or maybe they just don't let their senile old farts have internet access.

"Becoming a mother is one of the greatest gifts in the world. Spending time with your child as he or she grows up is a need of every mother. How does your country support new moms?" That's an easy one. New moms, old moms... old or new doesn't make a difference. Key is the more kids she has with no spouse to support, the more money and benefits she gets from the government.... and she doesn't really have to spend that much time with the kids, grandma can always find some time. It's been a super successful program .... growing in leaps and bounds. Let's seen Canada top that. |

I don't know how they compared "average" housing costs - they're all over the map in both countries. Vancouver has ridiculously high housing costs, Toronto's not far behind - Winnipeg would be considerably cheaper than much of the US. Food (particularly chicken, which I don't understand at all) and gasoline are definitely higher in Canada. |

The reason that chicken, turkey and milk are higher in Canada is because the production is controlled through quotas or "supply management" Great for participating farmers, not so good for the consumer, Think of it as a union for the farmers! |
