Good question Neal, we need some form of comparison to make any final judgement. Not saying this is the case, but generally the claim that the male's job required more skill or what have you generally is easy to rebuke under cross examination. And filing a lawsuit to right the wrong is full of landmines, not the least of which are repercussions that lead to losing the job.
Just thinking, if you were to compare the house maid who cleans the living quarters to say an Asst. Secretary of State, you might come to a different conclusion about whether they warrant the same pay.

That's about as stupid as you can get without knowing what each employee does.
Did it ever occur to you that if they are not talking comparative positions then the White House is not hiring women in comparative positions, another form of discrimination? Either way Obama is on the wrong side of this issue.
