It costs less to manufacture in the US Pat once you take into effect the results of less employed folks in the US. Who then cannot afford to buy quality products made in the USA. You like the rest of the right only look at immediate profits instead of the big picture |

Very true. Its a closed circle. Trouble is there is a 3rd party in that circle you need to get rid of. The jobs need to remain within North American trade agreement at least. |

Not to mention the tech leakage to China. Try to buy a computer these days that is not made in China. |

Have any proof of that? Or are you simply blustering again. I am not going to say neither of us have been mistaken in the past, who hasn't? But lie? I don't think so. |

That is not only an unfair characterization Joe but false. The company I founded employs (as of my last report) 684 people. We own buildings and have equipment and infrastructure. We are in and have been in this game for the long haul. But we have expanded internationally. Canada alone has nearly 200 employees. Listen Joe, my game is coming to an end, none of this really affects me or the wife. But I have kids and grandkids and they will have the same. Conservatives are not privateers any more than liberals like the kennedys and Kerrys. Sure there are a few bad eggs. I'll put conservative patriotism up against Michelle Obama and the ilk any day. The woman detests our country. Edited by Pat, Oct 18 2012, 01:46 AM.

With all of Romney's wealth, why would he want to be President? To make even more money? To make more money for his friends. To have purpose in mind to "crush" the middle and lower classes because he dislikes folks who aren't well off? Wouldn't there be an easier way to do all that than as president with all it's checks and balances? Maybe he sees his country going down the tubes, like I see it, and thinks/hopes for the kind of "change" that may save it. Obama says Romney has a one point plan. I heard him summarize his 5 point plan on three occasions last night. I also heard the "fact" that we've run a $1 trillion dollar deficit four years in a row. It's not working, and apparently there are still folks out there that see something about Obama and his administration that will someday bring it. We need to try something other than what we've been doing the last 12 years. I see no sign of it from Obama, just more arrogant promises. I don't believe him anymore. I'm ready for something else..... even if it's wrong. |

Obama's four point plan is, "$1 trillion dollar deficit, for each of the next four years. It's not in his blood to not spend money. He IS.... the President. |

Let's Take a Good Look at Romney's Five Point Plan:He's kidding, right? Talk about a plan that will never work - Romney is pushing for more coal, more oil, more gas, all the old tricks, while ignoring new tech - but there is no way that those alone will do the job - let's look at Oil for example - since Obama took office, Oil exploration has doubled, production is higher than at any time in Bush's second term. And what has happened? Gasoline prices have risen by more than a dollar a gallon, and the Koch's fortunes have each risen by over $10 Billion. Without renewables and efficiency regulations, the situation will continue to get worse, while the old energy companies get richer than ever. Totally silly - what new markets is he talking about? Asia wants to export HERE, not import, He'll be lucky to break even. And has anybody noticed Europe's situation recently? How much expansion do you see there? Harper is looking for new trading partners elsewhere, as he thinks Canada is already too closely linked to the US's sinking ship. What other large markets does his fantasy world contain? Maybe he intends to set up trade relations with Iran. Give me a break! With what money? The Republicans are SHUTTING DOWN schools, LAYING OFF teachers, not expanding! Nice words. Not a single idea how to do it, other than to throw Granny off the cliff. He wants to INCREASE military spending by 2 Trillion$, and every time he talks about Obamacare these days, it's to mention one more aspect he's NOT going to kill. The latest estimates by independent sources say that his plans will INCREASE the deficit, over and above Obama's total, by another 5 TRILLION$. Go look back in History - find the last Republican President who ever decreased the deficit.
The Magic Man in action! He's going to increase spending by 5 Trillion$ while decreasing taxes by some unspecified amount, and somehow out of that he's going to lower the deficit! Harper and Merkel will be watching this magic act for hints... Edited by Brewster, Oct 18 2012, 03:00 AM.
