Romney is absolutely right when he says Obama has not made enough progress on the economy. But, he fails to mention that the GOP has been obstructing and blocking most everything Obama has proposed. And, Romney's plan is nothing more than warmed over Reaganomics/Bushonomics. We have seen where that leads, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. We need massive stimulus spending, paid for by taxing the wealthy what they were taxed before all this trickle down, supply side BS economics that started with Reagan. |

I have yet to see one lib address the fact that Romney was given less time and interrupted by the moderator three times more. Crowley was a joke on the Benghazi issue but she has backed off now. Have not seen that addressed by the libs either. I still give it to Romney because he won on the economy issues. |

Let's look at this reasonably Tom, take the bailouts, congress never blocked the president on that one. And all it was was a payback to the unions. I explained yesterday that no real jobs were saved, just prevented from going to workers at car makers in America who would have filled the void had GM and Chrysler folded. Now take the fact that while the economy was bleeding 700,000 jobs a month, the president was focused not on jobs, but on healthcare. And look at the convoluted and unworkable law that came out of that fiasco. Now let's take a look at stimulus and jobs legislation. Congress never blocked that, yet we saw the results, we still have 23,000,000 unemployed, population increases alone gobbled up any jobs created in the last four years. Christ Tom, you need more Burger Kings just to feed the extra kids born. And then the president wanted another stimulus and jobs bill? He had to be kidding, why pour more good money after bad. There were virtually no shovel ready jobs, most jobs were in the government, not manufacturing where economic activity takes place, but in government workers. Social Security and Medicare Tom. The president promised to present a plan. He hasn't in four years. All he has done is through his healthcare law, steal money from medicare, which as we have discussed and has been pointed out, it will cost seniors down the road in quality of care. How about tax reform Tom. The president promised to deal with that, where is the legislation? How about immigration reform Tom. He promised to modernize that program in his first year in office. All he has done is take , executive power and all, and stopped enforcing the current laws. Pray tell Tom, you and others keep blaming congress, why don't you ask the president to just do his job. America has been waiting for four years, incomes have dropped, people have quit looking for work. The friggin country is a mess. Why should that black guy who asked the president to give him some confidence last night believe a damn thing Obama tells him? We have a body of work that represents the past four years, what we saw was a prelude to what we would get over the next four years. Are you satisfied with that. Are any here on the left satisfied? Speak up and quit trying to shut the challenger up. Edited by Pat, Oct 18 2012, 12:26 AM.
