His question has to do with people doing online shopping. What do you not understand about that? |

Joe, the reason I asked you, is because you are just as responsible for the loss of jobs in the country as everybody else. I'm not faulting you for using the new way things are bought and sold, but this approach has cost jobs all throughout the brick and mortar retail sector. Blaming republicans is a myth. |

I disagree, Pat. Using technology has always cost jobs. If Best Buy knew the internet was going to be as big a competitor as it is, then they should have adapted to that and reduced the number of retail stores they have and put their energy and resources into developing an overwhelming presence on the web. Best buy put out of business many other retail outlets when it came on the scene with it's big box stores. They are suffering the same fate if they don't adapt to the new reality of web-based shopping. |

The topic is 250,000 new part-time jobs, not web-based shopping. What do you not understand about that? And, what does asking Joe if he ever bought anything online have to do with new job creation? |

Around here a job paying $15 an hour unskilled would create a huge crowd of applicants. Even minimum wage employers have more applicants than openings. Too many unskilled, and too few jobs. Bringing back all those unskilled offshore jobs might increase prices a bit, and cut into companies profits. But, it would do wonders for the economy by lowering unemployment and entitlement costs, stimulate the economy and increasing tax revenues. Who let this happen? It certainly wasn't in the national interest. Although it made a ton of wealth for corporations and investors. |

Well duh! Do you think we don't know that Best Buy has a website? That's not the point of the thread nor the question Pat asked Joe. You're just fishing, hoping to look like you have a brain. Good luck with that one. |
