Not sure why everyone is climbing on me, I used other's member's links to make the point that Pat's avatar could be ridiculed as he ridicule a religious one. I never once even indicated I had any disrespect for the military, in fact I said just the opposite. |

Pat started it if you want to place blame and it backfired on him. Thumper is on a mission to get me banned so he ran with it along with some others. No biggie, it's done about every day. |

BUT, you took what I mentioned about how I could compare his avatar, or you went on your own line, and made it out to be something vile and disrespectful. If you look at the thread, post 52, you'll notice it was you that went even farther, too far in fact.
I never said that, but I did make a comment how it could be deemed something else compared to the fish symbol. So, you have to admit you did start the thrust farther along the lines of what you thought it means, even worst demeaning it. And, I apologized for my comments, so shouldn't you do so, as well, being you went too far in the comments of what you thought? That is why others have jumped on you for that comment. I think they see mine wasn't quite disrespectful in those lines, although I DO wish I hadn't made those remarks or comparisons. It doesn't matter whether it was in retaliation for the fish symbol thread and post. Two wrongs do not make a right. And, if you use non-christian remarks to down someone who makes non-christian remarks that you feel weren't right, then you cursed out the little old lady for cursing at you. And, as I said, two wrongs do not make a right. NOW. I don't agree with Pat's analysis or with how he felt it was from some other idea that they use the fish symbol. BUT, it IS his right to post and bring up the discussion. And, I believe he would have spent time discussing it and debating it among those of us who know that isn't what it means in context to it's use today. But, when the dirty bashing started, that ruined the entire thread....as it seems most EVERY thread is being ruined now by those who only want to fight and bash and argue nothing to do with the topic....and i'm guilty doing this, as well. I think this went too far, and as I was the first to make what could have been a derogatory or demeaning comment, I feel i'm the first responsible party in the fight that has ensued. However, I am not the one who ran the gauntlet too far. So, why don't everyone take a deep breath, lay down your weapons and disrespect and argumentative feelings, and let's get back to a forum to DISCUSS AND DEBATE, and stop this childish bickering amongst ourselves. If this is all that can come from people on this forum, whether it be someone who comments wrongly or used bad judgement in a remark such as I did that caused more trouble than could ever have been thought or even expected, and then someone else made another remark that was far over the top to the point of being totally out of place or totally unacceptable, then apparently the only thing that this place will be for is for people to fight others and call names and disrespect and not a damn bit of knowledge or information will be capable of being shown or discussed here. And, that is a place I do not wish to be a part of. If I want to sit and watch fighting all the time with no knowledge learned or no respect whatsoever, I might as well go sit at the local bar or somewhere to that affect where everyone can run off at the mouth, start a fight, get their butts kicked, and then get thrown out....all the while not learning anything. Because, if it were up to me, I would probably ban about half the people on here for being so arrogant and disrespectful and calling all those nasty names of family members included. And, those remarks and comments are not from people who are any smarter than the kindergarten child on their first day. Totally childish and asinine remarks are not called for ANYWHERE...especially HERE. And, those doing so should be ashamed of themselves. I am of YOU that have been doing this...ALL OF YOU. Now, grow up and act like adults and let's have a forum of posting and debating and discussion instead of total anarchy and idiocity. |
