Germany's Angela Merkel at joint session of Congress thanks the USA for freedom
Friday, November 6, 2009
By John Metzler
UNITED NATIONS In a stirring and heartfelt tribute to the United States and its people, German Chancellor Angela Merkel addressed a joint session of the U.S. Congress in Washington DC and outlined the post-war relationship between the United States and a politically free, and now united, Germany. Speaking to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989, Chancellor Merkel underscored the close political partnership between Germany and the USA. LINK- Quote:

German-US military history was made earlier this year when the German Armed Forces awarded 14 American soldiers one of the German military's highest honors for valor, the Gold Cross of Honor of the German Armed Forces, for risking their lives in the rescue of wounded German soldiers in northern Afghanistan. It was the first time non-Germans had ever received the award. Some of the US soldiers will now be honored by the US Army in a ceremony on December 13 in Katterbach, Germany. LINK
Here's one from the Philippines. " – President Aquino thanked the United States yesterday for its promise of military assistance in the event of a shooting war in the Spratlys, and expressed relief at China’s assurance that it had no plans to invade the Philippines. “We are grateful to the US for their offer of help,” Aquino told reporters in an informal interview here, where he led the launching of the 200-megawatt power plant of Korean Electric Power Co. in Barangay Colon, Naga City in this province."
And one from Japan. "The Japanese defense minister visited U.S. troops aboard USS Ronald Reagan April 4 to express his appreciation for their efforts in the earthquake recovery mission." Then why are we continually reminded of the "anti-American sentiment" around the world? Even our own president feels he has to apologize to various peoples for our past and present actions.
"Israel knows what side of their bread is buttered." You could say that of Merkel's praise. It would be nice for them if the IMF would kick in a fair amount for the EU bailouts with the US giving 17% of all IMF monies. Count the dollars we've poured into Israel vs what we've poured into Europe since 1948 or Japan, South Korea. Yet many still refer to the US as the Ugly American,
Why do we pour money and lives into the middle east, trying to build "democracies" if we are willing to turn our backs on the only real democracy there, one who won't shoot our men for burning a book. It's crazy diplomacy. It's time to get out. China isn't doing too bad just minding it's own business.

You could say that all those other countries you just mentioned have actually done something for us by sending troops when we start wars. How many Israelis have served in any of the conflicts we've been engaged in. When we do wrong things, we should apologize for it. Why would we not?
"Why do we pour money and lives into the middle east,"
I don't know.

I have no link to provide. I have no proof to show. But, if anyone goes against Israel, woe is that country. Write it down that I said this. Don't ask me to tell you why except i'm a believer in biblical prophesies concerning this. I won't argue my position. I won't back down. I won't discuss it. I believe therefore I am firm in my beliefs, that is all i'll say. Thank you.
