...Several areas have enough to support the energy needs of the entire continent, most especially Wyoming, with geothermal from Yellowstone.

....But the Kochs and their deluded entourage will never buy into it.
As far as geothermal from Yellowstone goes, I would think the environmentalists would have a problem with disturbing that environment more than the Kochs.

Ban, hopefully it could be done without disturbing very much of the natural beauty. But there's no doubt that any development anywhere for any cause always does some damage.

In fact, I was reading a piece a while ago where some of the local experts were worried about a heat/pressure buildup undergroud that could endanger a good chunk of the park.

If it were possible to drill into that pressure point, we might kill two birds with one stone - save the park and get a huge new source of near-free energy.

I see there might be some support for an Energy Freedom race, see who can get fossil fuel free first?

I see lots of money to be made over the next few years, sell the products and the tech, I hope we soak the Arabs for at least some of that money they made on us.

Problem for many will be adapting the tech to best use their resources.

Wrong Corky, once we replace the Arabs with alternative energy and have assumed the position of the world's largest exporter of alternative and conventional based energy supplies, the Arabs will assume their centuries old beggars identity and have their hands out for foreign aide. At which point we should laugh in their faces and tell them to go straight to hell.

Pat,
Way more fun to sell them the tech and watch them pull their hair either having to learn to use it or have a revolution. Making money and living well is the best revenge!
