The U.S. sits in a position where it could create and lead the world in the art of energy farming, all the needed parts are here and available now. From my point of view the advantage to the U.S. as a country would likely be greater in the long run than the gains from the space race of earlier years.

Corky, A visit to my town and surrounding energy projects suggests Nevada at least, is on the way to leading the world in alternative energy production. You should see the 250 ft. high towers being planted. A combination of mirrors and physics turning water into steam that turns massive turbines. All self contained within the towers. Geothermal projects working in similar fashion. And acres upon acres of solar panel farms. |

Mike, Best resources NV has is lots of sunshine, other wise useless land, and lots of bad water. When more integration takes place there should be a nice jobs base and lots of cash inflow.

Virtually every state and province in North America has some sort of easy, cheap renewable resource available, any of which would help the local economy. All it takes is the will. Several areas have enough to support the energy needs of the entire continent, most especially Wyoming, with geothermal from Yellowstone. Near total energy independence could be accomplished by 2020, and we'd have a cleaner, more prosperous continent with more jobs to boot. But the Kochs and their deluded entourage will never buy into it. |

I think you've killed a couple of dozen babies already today, Jim. Rick Santorum will have the hit squad out after you... |

Jim will soon have blood, along with ketchup, on his hands... He believes that his boring repetitive rants are more important then the unborn whom he claims to love.... Corky, Count me in. Are you planning to send PP a monthly "Miller the murder Check" ? If so post the amount so that I can match it. |
