Sure. It is up to political parties to keep their supporters (official ones working on a campaign) reined in however, so the buck should stop at a higher level.

I suspect the Pierre Poutine thing will turn out to be the real story, and it has nothing to do the the Conservative party at all, although I must admit they've done some dumb things recently.

But like all political stories, no matter what's found, some dirt will stick, and those with anti-Conservative sentiments will hang onto it like a drowning man to a life preserver.
Sounds familiar, like anti-cons here always blaming the bogeyman kochta.

Not so sure I agree with that. Parties really have no top-down control, influence, but not control
