ken "So basically Chris you believe that we should just form a committee and do whatever feels good?" No, ken, I haven't said anything like that. Where do you come up with this stuff? " You didn't amswer my questions" I've answered all your questions. "society is the government" Society is not the government. |

Maybe where you live society isn't. You have never answered any questions except to say let "society" decide. What mechanism would you set up so that the needed decisions can be made? Are you thinking along the lines of the old New England town hall meetings? How big of a hall will you need for your city? |

"What mechanism would you set up so that the needed decisions can be made?" An excellent question deserving of an honest, complete, and direct answer. |

Society decides by talking about it. Family, friends, neighbors, small groups, so on so forth. The way society decides anything else. Just how else do you imagine mores, norms, traditions, institutions emerge from society? I think you're getting hung up on the need from some sort of top-down management of society. Unnecessary. |

Chris, A follow up. Elsewhere you spoke of having jury trials. If there is no structure and therefore no laws, what would the jury be asked to decide. It certainly could not be guilt or innocence. |

Yes, juries could then decide case by case what society decides in general. What I've been saying all along. Where does "no structure and therefore no laws" come from? |

What a wonderful little Utopian concept. Base everything on some kind of decision making by consensus. (I got that from looking up the phrase "social governance.) Might be possible if one's :society" were small and homogeneous enough. |

What's utopian about it? It's the way society already works. It's not perfect, but it's better than any utopian scheme man thinks he can invent. |

If society is already working the way you want it to what do you want to change... |

Get government out of it, especially federal government, and leave it to society. |
