Glad you see the fact that he was referring to voting, not representation.
The reference to voting was already explained above.
No it wasn't. Do you seriously teach this stuff?

I guess one could resort to the standard response of the right and say "we were just using a figure of speech" or "to deny it dealt with voting is just playing semantic games."

Stony,

What value did you see in resorting to a personal attack?

So now you can read Tom's mind. That is is the liberal bent. You know what he meant better than he did.

Stony,

Your attacking my ability to comprehend a simple sentence is a personal attack.

Put me on ignore. I'd hate for you to loose another insult.

Being more specific about how the 3/5compromise dealt with voting, one has to admit it either increased the number Southern votes in the House of Representatives or it decreased the number of southern votes in the Senate.

Which has had nothing to do with the voting franchise under discussion. Even tom recognized that:

me "And what's your fact got to do with voting? 3/5 compromise had nothing to do with voting."
tom "And, who in the hell said it did? Certainly not me."

Nice diversion, though, crawdad.

And now, Chris is accusing me of introducing the 3/5 compromise into this discussion (as a diversion)? Wow!

Where do you come up with this stuff, crawdad? Everyone knows tom introduced it, and everyone knows he agreed it was unrelated. It's your rehashing what had already been settled that's a diversion.
