Obama brought up contraception--"Typical ... change the subject mentality..."

I'll bet he didn't conceive the brouhaha.
Obama brought up companies that provide insurance for their employees have to do it non-discriminately. He didn't say a word about contraception. It was the priests and preachers who brought up contraception. I don't think it has much to do with contraception, actually. I think the churches just don't want to pay for it. It would take away from their lavish lifestyle.
And just what is "do it"?

Not like Why Don't We Do It In The Road?
Funny guy. You know what I meant.

I'm not going to argue that anymore. It's really stupid to begin with. So, why is it that churches can get involved with government, but government can't get involved with churches? I think if clerics talk about government, they should have their tax exemption revoked. a 10% tithe to the government would be about right.

Just a quick question. How did this conversation get from "Republican Debate Review" to whether or not President Obama brought something up? Was the President in that debate?

You should pose that question to Ban. He brought it up.

That wasn't a quick question, it was long and there were two. Obama brought up the whole question of contraception, long ago: "I believe we must work together to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies. I support legislation to expand access to contraception, health information, and preventative services to help reduce unintended pregnancies."

But, you know that there was no outcry at the time he said that. It only happened when he did something to try to avoid unwanted pregnancies and abortions. It was the Catholic church that made a big deal out of it. I asked this before and no answer so, here it is again.
why can the churches interfere with government, but government can't interfere with churches?

No there wasn't back then, it was only until he tried to force his beliefs on others that the ruckus arose, and the dust has yet to settle.

"why can the churches interfere with government, but government can't interfere with churches?"

In this case I see government interfering with the free exercise half of "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Where do you see churches interfering with government, and where do you see it prohibited?

Ignore churches. Government has no business in the contraception business. That is personal. Oh, I forgot. Cradle to the grave.
