Depends on state. Perhaps he lied because he believes it's not the government's business--we can all speculate from ignorance of his motives. He was a gun collector, a gun trader, a terrorist, who knows.

Lying about what he had was really stupid and he should be arrested for it and I never buy into a ignorance plea, be responsible and understand the laws. Looks like a lifelong collection he lost.

Well he is lucky it was not the Mexican border, i am sure Canadian jails are more comfy than the ones here.

Looks to me like he is facing at least a mandatory minimum sentence of three years on one count and so far he is facing ten counts. This guy may develop a Canadian accent before he gets out.
