When Obama keeps bring up his "fairness doctrine," when he keeps saying, in every speech, over and over, ..... "Everyone needs to pay their fair share!" and when he says, over and over, ..... "Everyone needs to do their fair share!,".......... Does he really mean Everyone Pay and does he really mean Everyone Do"?
Who's he talking about...... really?

Not your business, Sea. Tend to your own problems. Your opinion is meaningless.

If a child born today could understand what modern rightists have in store for him, He would turn around and climb back in!
And what do you imagine modern rightists want for the generations to come? Leftists want dependency cradle to coffin. What to rightists want? "Leftists want dependency cradle to coffin"
Wrong!
"What to rightists want?"
Their way!

How does allowing politicians to take more money in taxes from successful people, to squander in ways that will improve their own reelection prospects, make anything more "fair" for others?
Taxing to pay the bills isn't necessarily squandering. I assume by improving reelection prospects you mean getting earmarks or entitlements for people they represent. Worse things are happening, like giving the wealthy and corporations what they want to keep the campaign money flowing in.
"Worse things are happening, like giving the wealthy and corporations what they want to keep the campaign money flowing in." Exactly. So how could we diminish that.
Campaign finance reform. Only allow individuals to contribute to campaigns (no union or corporate money) and limit the amount to something the average citizen could afford. So, that the millionaire has no more clout than the small business man or the guy fixing cars. Eliminate the super pacs and require all money go to the candidate. You're promoting a system that only the rich can get into, assuming you'd let people use their own money, or no one could get into assuming that they could not use their own money. It takes money to get started.
And then there's the fact that some lawyers will always find ways around laws.

"Leftists want dependency cradle to coffin" Wrong! "What to rightists want?" Their way! Well it sure sounds likes you want dependency cradle to coffin. If every solution you have to offer is a government solution, where else will it lead--or hadn't you thought of that?

Shame on you, Chris. There is no such thing as too much government involvement in our lives.

I see it as a system liberals/Democrats would win since they promote the welfare state in exchange for support and votes.

I see it as a system liberals/Democrats would win since they promote the welfare state in exchange for support and votes. But the system favors the wealthy as well, since they provide the bulk of campaign funds and have enormous clout with pols.
