Oh, and I don't complain. I discuss. Isn't that what everyone else says whenever Mike or I say that there is too much bickering and name calling?

I don't have to complain. I have less than 9 months to live. I have nothing to prove to any of you, anyway. So, I couldn't care if you thought I was or not. If I can't help and thought I could at least throw out some advice to stop the name calling and such, I guess it was my fault no one listens. But, i'm not complaining. I'd like to help. That way, when you die soon, you'll not be remembered as one of those who were the hated. Make up and love each other. What could it hurt? Just an ego, maybe?

Oh, and just who here hates me? Now, list who you hate here...if it's nothing more than their actions.

I think faggots should be able to marry. That way, when they grow old and after years of arguing, they can join this forum here as grumpy old buttholes like so many others here.
Do you include yourself in that description, Tim? Seems like you complain and argue as much as the rest of us. All the while telling us we shouldn't
Where am I complaining here? I said they should be able to marry so they can, too, come into this forum and be grumpy old men like all of you guys. Nope. Didn't complain a bit. Nor, was I complaining about the name calling, just wishing some of you so called friends would stop acting like 2 year olds or thinking you should fight and if you lose, take your ball and wagon home with you. Just trying to help.

But, I guess, it's apparent that those who think such must be the guilty party, as if you feel like you're being talked about, and paranoid that it's you that's being talked about, well, it's not my fault. A guilty conscience always comes out.

SO, who has a guilty conscience and is talking to the person who was trying to help keep down the fighting and back stabbing? The answer shows the guilty party just like the glove that fits. And, the reply to this message of contempt shows the guilty party's hand, as the rest will see. Who's gonna say i'm wrong?
So, you don't think that complaining about complaining is complaining? I couldn't care less if you talk about me. I'm a great guy. You should be so lucky as to experience my outstanding personality and exceeding good looks in person.

Thanks for the laugh. Everyone here knows that i'm the best looking one of the bunch. And, i'm not old like all of you. I don't have the wrinkles or the gray hairs. I'm still young, although my youth saves me, not.

I wonder why they label all of this gay marriage? Maybe they are two people of the same sex who want the advantages of marriage but are not sexual partners. Who cares?

The way the system works, the governor has a right to veto bills. If a couple doesn't like living with marriage restrictions, then they and their supporters should use the system to change governors. Or move to a state that does not discriminate against same sex marriage.

"The whole idea of our government is to protect the rights of minorities against the tyranny of the majority."

Actually to protect the right of the people against intrusion by government. The majority cannot rule but through government, ditto the minority, nor can corporations, but through government. All anyone has to do is read the Declaration and Constitution to see this.

The Constitution says nothing at all about regulating marriage, therefore the government should have no say whatsoever. At the federal level, at the state level that depends on each state's constitution, and from there it's left to the people to decide for themselves.

On this view, much of what government does is illegal, and this is where most liberals, and many so called conservatives abandon the Constitution, because their vision of fairness outweighs freedom.
I don't think state constitutions can override the national constitution. Marriage is a thing that transcends state borders. It has to be a national issue.
There are some parts of the BOR that have been incorporated, that's the terms, see, for instance, Incorporation of the Bill of Rights.

I still say let them marry. That way, every man has the option to learn just how screwed up being married to the same person can be at times. Why should only the straight couples be miserable and have divorces? Make it even and then see which one gets the kids and the house when it's 2 guys. Most times,it's the woman that gets these, so who would get them then? Maybe...it could actually cause EQUALITY in the terms of dividing the house and kids so that the women weren't more than 80% likely to get it all and change it to an actual 50/50 chance or something.

Same thing with 2 women. Who's the one that gets preferential treatment then?...lol
