And when you get done trying to figure that out, I submit the better question to ask, instead of comparing the subjective valuations of people, compare the more objective valuation we might put on $100 in the hands of a man who has a history of using it to generate much wealth vs in the hands of a man little?
Wouldn't it be equally true that the guy that spent the hundred dollars created wealth also? I mean if he and others with the hundred dollar pockets didn't spend it, the rich guy wouldn't be rich. We are all in it together. One can't exist without the other.

Well it sure seems obvious that the one can't exist without the other.

Yet, you and the other righties only defend the wealthy. Unless you are wealthy, it makes no sense to do that, since when the wealthy pay less tax, for instance, you and I have to pay the difference. Listening to only one side of issues leads to erroneous conclusions. Stop spending all your time watching Fox and watch MSNBC or CNN or the alphabet networks for a change. You can get both sides of the story that way. It's why I watch Fox. And watching Fox, if you don't question them, leads to erroneous conclusions.

Of course we're all in it together, just that if two men came to you asking for $100, one with a proven track record of success creating more wealth, or the one less? Now were the other to come to you with what seemed a great idea, worth the risk, then you might give him the $100. And heck if it was a starving man and his family coming up to you personally you or I might well voluntarily give him the $100 out of the goodness of your heart regardless of risk.

But for government to coerce such decisions based on the abstract guesses of how people value $100 by a few central planners I'm against.

I know a few rich people that look at a hundred dollar bill like it was their last bit of money. They will hang on to it as long as they can.

How do you know the rich man has a history of generating wealth?

Perhaps he won a lottery or inherited his money?

You don't, maybe they're just lucky. Though if we're talking investment I'd think you'd lookinto history to decide whether to risk the investment.

Still playing that same ole drum I see. Watch MSNBC, it suits you more.

And how many times have the righties said "the whole tax system needs to be revamped.

Is that why you watch Fox? Because it suits you more? That's what I thought. As Tom would say, you are just validating your own opinion when all you watch is Fox. I watch both.
