Twice as much to produce, but they last 2.5 times longer. I wonder how they feel. Slippery? Our new bills when new tend to stick together, I wonder if that is a problem? I read recently somewhere that $1 coins would be a money saver over paper $ because they last so much longer. |

They do feel slippery. They have them in Australia and they take getting used to. The new Mexican 20 peso notes are also plastic. However no problem it they go through the washing machine by accident. |
