There are a few. I was a chubby but I got smart I guess. Just went through numerous tests. While all my blood work and cholesteral came back excellent, I did not get good news. But for every pound I lost I gained an iq point

With over half the population lazy and fat, I wonder what that tells us about the intelligence of our race?

I was listening to a piece on diabetes the other day. It is expected to have a huge increase in the coming years. Blacks, Hispanics and Native Americans have very high rates of diabetes and probably the excess fat issue too. I have a theory on it. Those not too far removed from subsistance diets and being hunter gatherers don't handle the high fat and inactive lifestyle to well without a lot of problems.

Stalking and gathering a Big Mac doesn't burn all that many calories.

Excess fat is a very visibile merit badge that is earned by the lack of self discipline and responsibilty.
