It's a good thing the school didn't pay Joe Paterno more. They need the money to pay out the multi millions i lawsuits facing them. In fact, I think Joe and the other three top administrators should not be paid a dime in retirement. Sticking your head in the sand should result in economic punishment as well as jail time. The best way to look at this is to note how the 'head in the sand' routine was perpetuated at every level…Mike McQuery reported to Joe Pa he had witnessed “anal rape”…Suitably shocked Joe Pa reported this heinous crime by saying it was “something of a sexual nature”…In hearing this VP Shultz characterized Joe Pa’s report as “Inappropriate grabbing of boys genitals”…and the AD Curley got involved by noting the situation was actually “inappropriate conduct or horsing around”…Finally the president of the university really stuck his neck out by saying the incident was “conduct that made someone uncomfortable”… Finally as it reached the president of Second Mile where the young lambs awaited their trip to the shower simply stated there was a new house rule…”a ban of kids in the Penn St. locker room or showers”…Just reading these quotes does anyone have any sympathy left for Penn St or Joe Pa? (besides Jim and Colo) Edited by Pat, Nov 17 2011, 08:13 AM.

JoePa knew his guilt and saw it coming, transfering his 600k house to his wife for $1 |

I saw that report today Joe. I'm guessing since JoePa has lawyered up, that he may be charged in criminal court after the dust settles. He knows more about his buddy's activities than has been released to the public. |

Although I am not there for the winter I am sure Happy Valley isn't very happy right now. My bet is that the Board of Trustees is on many a person's poop list. I fear alumni donations are going to suffer. |

What aspiring athlete would ever want to attend that school. It is marked for years to come. Might as well turn it into a park |

I guess Penna is not a community property state otherwise what is hers is his and visa versa. Apparantly Paterno transferred ownership to his wife several months prior to this mess coming to light. He obviously thought he did something wrong. Edited by Thumper, Nov 17 2011, 11:01 AM.
