Jcpps,

Did the accused get to confront his accusers in that grand Jury? No, that's not the way a Grand Jury works. There is no cross examination and the only outcome is a determination that there is sufficient evidence to indict, not a pronouncement of guilt or innocence. Don't you really understand the American Justice System and the presumptions made within it? You know presumptions like the burden of proof and the accused right to confront his/her accusers, just to name a couple.
OMG this is hilarious

Jcapps,

Why am I not surprised that you would consider a serious and honest description of our Justice System to be "hilarious?"

Because I think you are so blind as to not see I have the right to form an opinion based on the evidence. Even the evidence of sandusky himself where he gave an interview last night. You need to get off the internet and see whats going on. Theres a big world out there

BTW, Jcapps, which are you arguing, that testimony given to a Grand Jury cannot or should not be impeachable? There certainly is not opportunity to do so or even attempt to do so in a Grand Jury setting.

The interview with Sandusky which you quoted elsehere on this forum where he denied any sexual wrongdoing whatsoever?

BTW, to draw an opinion is certainly acceptable but would disqualify you from jury duty in the case. And to state that opinion as if it is a fact from somewhere above while attempting to vilify anyone who might disagree with you is arrogant to say the least.

The interview where when asked if he sexually molested the boys he froze and stumbled all over his answer. Anyone who did not would not stumble for a second

Colo,

Innocence is an absolute presumption in our judical system. That said it is common to require bail in major felonies (almost always) and for the courts to issue release conditions. Pre conviction suspects posting bail, who are charged with sex crimes involving minors, are routinely ordered to stay away from all unrelated children, not allowed to see their own children without supervision, and required to stay 500 feet away from schools.

Suspects are innocent in the eyes of the law until they are convicted but this does not over ride the right of our children to be safe from harm.

I have no disagreement with this.
