Joe,

I'm not doubting or denying that intelligence runs in the family. but when this girl was young, she was very well connected, which leads to the ability to leap frog ahead of the line. Do you know how hard it is to get into Stanford and Oxford? Outside special considerations such as this, it's very, very hard. Like Harvard, around 5-9% of applicants are accepted.
Didn't her dad go to Oxford? Was his dad a POTUS?
Yes, he went to Oxford, and he is what I would refer to as an intellectual. Chelsea rode his intellectualism to admission in Stanford and Oxford. And now an NBC prime time reporting job, when she has no experience in that field either.

Which gets me back to my main point. Why are the protesters not protesting this type of cronyism and favoritism? None of you have touched that question.

I cannot see the problem! nepotism, pull, and pulling favors is how it is done in all venues.

Look how many sports figures pull down big bucks as announcers and color commentators.

If your nephew and a stranger with the same qualifications apply
who is going to get the job?

I look at it as her life is rich with experiences from growing up a politician's daughter. Think of the people that she has met! What is the problem?

Here are some more pols daughters:

TV is all about ratings and Chelsea has a little more name recognization than most.

I like Chelsey Clinton. She has managed to stay out of trouble unlike the Bush babes.

My wife's nephew from Vancouver went to graduate school in the UK in International relations. His parents had no big connections there. However, he was a good student.
