I wonder if Ad Hom said anything of substance or just attempted to attack another poster with his usual personal insults.
That an interesting bit of made up innuendo. The implication is crawdad didn't see my response, but elects to make something up just the same. The ironic part of name calling and ad hom is it rarely says anything about the targeted messenger but instead about the shooter himself.

I think the guy is being unfair to Obama.

In order to lose your balls, you first have to possess two in working order, which one could never accuse the president with having in the first place. What you have here, (and we all know this), is a guy who is half-assed about everything he does. Change? What change? I'm not going to bore you with a repeat of previous posts around this topic, let me just say he came roaring in to office with a mouth bigger than the balls needed to get the job done. Most guys have them and some don't.
And that crawdad sees as a personal attack on Obama?

I would agree if you, Pat, had simply said Obama was ballless to begin with, or had used such ad hom as premise to draw additional conclusions. But you don't. You take as premise the fact Obama has accomplished little of what he promised, and draw the conclusion he didn't lose or drop what he never had.

Look at the OP again. Morris Davis doesn't attack the messenger but the message of unfulfilled promises in order to draw the conclusion he lost or dropped the balls.

That's not ad hom. It's an argued point, for which you'd expect argued rebuttals.

I think some get flustered with the language, which is, admittedly, vulgar. But vulgarity isn't necessarily ad hom. And flustered launch into ad hom of their own. Or with pretzeled logic justify two wrongs make a right, that is, that their own ad hom is justified because they perceive ad hom.

But how can anyone justify ad hom? How can logical fallacies lead to rational conclusions? To justify ad hom is to, essentially, justify lies.

The link below takes you to the 2008 promises made by president Obama. three years later, is the assessment of the author of the above article or myself wrong?

Campaign promises however well intentioned get revised once the realities of governance become apparent. No doubt Obama did reassess his positions once in office and adjust. That's not being dishonest or lacking "balls", it''s being intelligent enough to adapt. What about the aggressive and successful efforts to take out Al-Qaeda leaders? Other policies he has stood firm on like eliminating water boarding. I see Bachman and Caine though would reinstate it. Why is it the right wing challengers seem to be mentally deficient? Maybe all balls and no brain isn't too good either.

Nice spin, tom, and some cute ad hom mixed in, and a little confusion on what balls are about. But I think the worst part of this is how liberals who made much of those promises suddenly don't care, there seems to be nothing they can find to criticize the changes they got. Bush made many promises too but many conservatives turned against him when he failed to stick to them and turned out to be a liberal. Face it, regardless of leaning, we get president after president who promises change and all we get is more of the same.

It's not as if Obama himself doesn't engage in ad hom, here are some lists of people he's attacked: The Abuser in Chief, Obama’s Target List, Insulter-In-Chief.
