Many resent Joe for all of his success at Penn State. I think Pat is another one.
So I guess since you believe in guilt by association, paterno is a child molester

Jim rarely uses a strawman tactic in discussing stuff.

With that kind of logic I wonder if he also considers the Penn State regents jealous of Joe's coaching success too. They are the ones who forced him into retirement. They let him go gracefully rather than outright firing him. His moral lapse of judgment took him down.

That sure seems to have come from out of left field.

The Penn State Board of Regents sure made that post look silly as they fired him without even contacting him personally. They did it by telephone. Perhaps some can call that "graceful," but I cannot and I don' even have any commitment to either Penn State or to Joe Paterno.

I am betting they will pay for that, too, Lowell. Perhaps it is they that should be replaced. I feel certain alumni donations will fall significantly.

Yep, it was a silly statement. My guess is that there was more information available than has been released to the public over Joe's handling of the affair. To summarily fire the coach and then notify hms when he called the school that he was no longer the coach, it must have been bad. The school president was also fired so obviously this is more serious than Joe was letting on.

I'm sure the trustees considered any potential loss of donations and believed that once they told the doanrs what really came down, the loss would be minimal. You never get all the details from the media.

Most would call that guilt by innuendo and speculation. T^hat attitude disappoints me.

And most would label your comment Ad hominem. The case has grown more serious each day Colo. and unless you believe a conspiracy exists to screw over a beloved 67 year old coach through false accusations, then why are you attempting to divert the discussion. I'm not the bad guy here nor am I naive to the point of putting my head in the sand.
