I've never viewed the homes we have in Canada and the States as investments Telco. We're never selling them and they are already spoken for by the kids when the wife and I are gone. I bet at your retirement age, you have the same position. The oldest son lives full time up there now and his wife to be is a Canadian with several generations worth of roots. They're building a place right now on Vancouver island and have a condo in the city. My place here east of Seattle has lost value I suppose. It's just numbers. |

True enough. I don't really think of my house as an investment either. The one mistake I won't make is go full time RV'ing and not stay in the market. I have seen a lot of people burned on that one. I thought Seattle had weathered the storm in real estate pretty good. |

You hit that nail on the head. There are run down rv parks all over filled with people who went full time and are now trapped in a travel trailer. |
