.........and some call Germany a police-state for a mandatory ( but permanent carrying not required ) personal ID from age 16 on....

We're doing our damnedest to catch up!

Just out of curiousity I googled and what I found was, the vast majority of industrialized countries ( including ISRAEL ) requires ID-cards from their citizens.

Are they all police-states? :surrender: ( That`s why I put ISRAEL in capital letters ).

I know that especially Brits and Americans like to call the compulsary requirement methods of "police-state" or even "Nazi".

Not that it matters.....just curious... :toasting:

THUMPER, thanks... :tiphat:

We all or most of us have social security cards, driver's licenses, voter registration cards. Why add another way for the state to keep tabs on you?

In my case, I'm constantly forgetting to take my wallet with me when leaving home. Apparently, that is not a very smart thing to do.

Why would the state be interested in keeping tabs on you? That is already rather easy to do.

Yes, there are more ways to keep tabs on us besides driver's licenses, social security cards, voter registration. There's all sorts of state licensing. The state has access to banking, phone, and Internet usage.

Good question, why would the state be interested in keeping tabs on you?

I can't imagine why. :75:

So they can find you easily when they come with the black helicopters to haul your butt off to the United Nations held concentration camps located deep in the National Forrests.

Sounds like a great opening for a movie. Throw some zombies in there.
