Corkey, I understand where you’re coming from. I discriminate all the time holding state licenses, the first reason would be I’m wasting my time because they can’t afford the services and the second would be a bad attitude. We all do it in business, granted not at this level of ‘advertising it’ but imo the man should have the right to do so. I’m about as un-politically correct as they come, tired of the term and believe the whole PC concept is part of what’s destroying this country, meaning the mindset having to walk on eggshells not calling things for what they are. I’m not a religious person, but wouldn’t teach a mooslum their basic shooting skills if they had money in hand because I believe it’s the most volatile of the freak shows. |

Some bigoted folks (fat old white guys) have a tough time realizing that a black liberal was elected fair and square by a majority of voting Americans. Eat your hearts out. |

That’s interesting Thumper and I’m not a racist. I know we’re close to 30 years apart in age and you got yours (retirement) off the backs of the doers… what’s your take on black people in Orlando more or less refusing to work allowing the current illegal invasion because they won’t work? I’m guessing everything is free in your mind, just like expecting someone to be there to help you for everything else.. the government always know best… right? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you’re a troll I get very little value from as a young pup. |

Why are the libs here playing the race card? Crockett Keller didn't refuse to teach blacks, he refused to teach Muslims and liberals. |

I have seen signs in more than one establishment that say they reserve the right to refuse business to anybody. In this case, the business owner refused business to a defined group so the state claims he broke the law. I've read this a couple of times and the posts by the rest of you folks. I think from a purely freedom and liberty argument I can understand the objection. We're born with free agency, and how we choose to live... provided we don't injure or deprive anybody else of their property or freedom, should be outside the control of the state. I would never consider for a moment depriving another person of training regardless of their religion and political views. But do I through my government have the right to impose my beliefs on anybody else? The fella who trains folks in handling firearms was doing so because this is how he believes. He felt threatened by armed Muslims and he didn't believe a person who voted for President Obama had enough common sense to operate a handgun. So he chose not to train them. I realize his choice invokes civil rights charges and discrimination charges, so the bigger question becomes, does the state have the right to deprive this trainer of his freedom of choice and speech in order to assuage a belief that Muslims and liberals as a class represent a discriminated class. And to go further, what gives any state the right to force regimented behavior on individuals, provided no physical harm exist nor is there a loss of there property rights. I'm thinking out loud here so some of these thoughts might provoke further discussion. From my meager study of the Federalist papers and history, I can't find where the concept of a state or federal government having such power over an individual was even remotely considered. In fact, it appears from a purest point of view, that the founders error ed in their thoughts in the opposite vein. |
