Anyone catch game six last night? What a game. I hope St. Louis pulls it off tonight.

My wife is into Cardinal baseball . I gave up on it and went to bed. She woke me up with hooting and hollering. Go Cards, beat those lousey Rangers.

Yep the Cards win another as Texas folds under pressure.

I remember sitting around the big counsel radio at home, me and my friends hanging on every word the announcer was saying as the games were broadcast. We had our mitts on our hands and a bat and ball lying nearby. Those were the days.

Game six was really something. Texas didn't put up much of a scrap at all in game seven. I of course was routing for the Tigers, but after the Rangers eliminated them, an I was routing for St. Louis. I listened to an interview of Rangers manager Ron Washington after the loss of game seven and the championship. He struck me as a real class act, and a nice guy. I kind of felt bad for routing for the Cardinals.

Suppose that the outcome had something to do with the Cards play in the national League where the whole team is forced to play "real baseball?" You know, pitchers batting and all?

It seems to me that even when they have pitchers batting, they don't put a lot of emphasis on recruiting and developing pitchers who can hit well. They pretty much work around it with pinch hitting etc.
