The Wild Ride of the 1% The once-stable incomes of American's biggest earners now fluctuate dramatically from year to year. These are the leaders of and the worst of the Hoffa referred to "sons-a-bitches," even if some of them do own the big corps. that the unions function in and soak as much for themselves as they can. Can they kill the goose and squash the golden egg only to cut off their own nose in the process? Greed comes at different levels.... but it's still greed. |

Oh I am so broken up over their situation "This is the grand hall," she says, opening her arms to a space the size of a concert hall and surrounded by balconies. "It will fit 500 people comfortably, probably more. The problem with our place now is that when we have parties with, like, 400 people, it gets too crowded." I hope the folks who are losing their homes, cannot feed their kids, lost their entire savings and retirement can chip in and help them |

What's wrong with the top 1% holding out their hands and asking the poor for a handout or two? The deadbeats do the reverse all the time. |

Obviously, the lady on the staircase probably wasn't the one who earned the money to buy such a mansion but somebody did. What was his background history? Did he start from nothing and built an empire. How many jobs did he create in the process? There will always be those who don't take the risk but criticize the ones who do and become wealthy. Nobody talks about the ones who take the risk but fall on their faces. There is a man in the Erie, PA area, Nick Scott. He started with a franchise, then another and another. Some did okay and some failed. Through the years he has created his own empire, created thousands of jobs. He is well beyond being a millionaire. He is a business man who now employees as many people as our large GE plant in Erie. Yet, some complain that he has hurt downtown Erie (you could see the hurt starting in the 60s when I first came to this area) but it came with the closing of heavy industry in the area, not because of Nick Scott. Here are some of the comments about Nick Scott and Scott Enterprises: Comments on Nick Scott He took a risk, provides many jobs, skilled and entry level and became wealthy in the process. He could have fallen on his face. Yet as you can see in the comments, many in the area are critical. But, he has been good for the economy of Erie and many people are working because of him. Why do we want to penalize him because he has been successful in his efforts. |

Speaking of the rich getting richer. . . New Inequality Data Likely to Boost "Occupy" Movement[/urk] Given the claims o the right about the rich providing jobs, one would think that with tax breaks resulting in that, there should be absolutely no unemployment. |
