If he doesn't park where he doesn't belong and parks in motor home parks with hookups, that will cost him $20 - $25 per night. Let's see, that is a minimum of $7,300.00 per year. That leaves less than $4,000.00 for food, clothing, and fuel, not to mentor RV repairs which will be costly on any rig that one can purchase for $14,000.00.
No respnse, Pat. Just ignore the fact?

Liberals don't like to see people not needing government.
Why just mantra bout "libs." Jim? Nothing substantive to say about the discussion? Just more game playing, Jim?

Ken,

I sincerely think that you are wrong about Jim and his motivations. But is probably grist for another thread. Or, not.

Jim claims to be a conservative but spent his life as a tax supported union member. If you believe that "actions speak louder than words" then Jim is a noisy liberal. The argument that he was "forced" to join a union and that his SS money was "stolen" is bunk.

I'd like to know what ins he has for $80 a month. We pay over $800 a month for health insurance. We also pay another $250 a month for car insurance. Even if you split that in 1/2 for 2 people, that leaves less than $100 a week for other necessities such as food, clothing, dr's visits, prescriptions. Then add in such things as cell phones, car repairs, etc.

I'm not saying it can't be done. But somebody else is paying for the road maintenance, storm drains. Where's he parking his rig at night? The local park? Well, who's paying for the maintenance there? Who's paying for the police services/park rangers that are used to keep him safe?

Call me whatever you want, but I don't want to look out my front window and find his dilapidated rig parked in front of my house. I don't know what type of individual he is. He could be the sweetest person in the world, just someone who prefers to be alone, but how do I know that? He could also suffer from a mental illness and be one snap away from going off the deep end.
