And it's started imaging the skies. http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/Herschel/SEM76A0P0WF_0.html Much higher levels of resolution than the previous biggie - the Spitzer. M51 as imaged by both Spitzer and Herschel. The increased resolution is obvious.
