Supposedly--I can't confirm, and find hard to believe our education system is so misinformed and disingenuous--but then it is a government school!

Compare the "Christian" claims to the citation that the author thinks supports him. Almost diametrically opposed.

I don't know how many discussions of creationism in the science class have been stopped dead cold by simply asking if they'd apply the same in Bible class.
