Text by Michael Shermer, editor of "Sceptic Magazine" and author of "Why Darwin Matters": "To convey the logical absurdity of trying to squeeze the round peg of science into the square hole of religion, I penned the following scientific revision of the Genesis creation story. It is not intended as a sacrilege of the poetic beauty of Genesis; rather, it is a mere extension of what the creationists have already done to Genesis in their insistence that it be read not as mythic saga but as sciĀentific prose. If Genesis were written in the language of modern science, it would read something like this." (http://www.youtube.com/v/-h2dj2a5D7M&hl=en&fs=1) |

Yeah, and there'd be a lot more "ouch" if the resident creationist had the intestinal fortitude to read what's been posted rather than bragging about having some of us blocked. "Gutless wonder" comes immediately to mind... |

The only way breezy can think he's making any progress in his effort to show the validity of Young Earth Creationism and the inerrancy of the bible is by blocking messages from those of us showing how silly his positions (and not even his... the creationist loony sites he visits) are. It's the online equivelent of sticking his fingers in his ears and shouting, "LA LA LA LA LA... I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Not exactly the approach to attract converts, is it? |

THing is, we needn't show it, they are silly in and of themselves. The very notio0n of posting them where no one will read them, but a few with ready counterarguments, is silly. |

Only thing I can figure is it is, in some odd and perverted fashion, breezy's ministry. Junque for Jesus, perhaps? Breezy's Superfluous, Silly and Insipid Sermons? The Pandering Prophet? The options are limitless! |
