Proof... proof... proof. Ain't the way science works, Padre. Scientific theories can be disproven, but never proven. While the Theory of Gravity looks very solid, it's not considered proven because it can not be tested throughout the entire time and space of the universe. While science does not expect it to be disproven, there might be some tiny spot in the universe where gravity does not work as the present-day theory requires. The same thing happened with Newtonian gravity. It worked about 99.999% correctly.... except for this tiny bit of orbital precession. Something on the order of 43 arc seconds per century. The moon is about 1800 arc seconds in diameter when viewed from the earth which should give you some idea of how small an effect we're talking about. The explanation for the discrepancy finally showed up with Einstein and his General Theory of Relativity. Newtonian theory had been expanded to include how gravity works in deep gravity wells. It ain't all that difficult to learn what a scientific theory actually and how science works. And it's not the way religion works, either. Or is all that "faith" stuff out the window? |

On my list of things to worry about - I don't think that's on the list. |

I believe religion is a combination of faith and experience on a personal level. And from the experience with God, I came to the conclusion that I don't have to know how he holds the universe together or what forces are that He uses. This is such a short transitory state I live in, that while I live as fully as possible within it, my goal is beyond this existence and the wonder of what He has in store. |

Why does god apparently withhold that "experience on a personal level" from billions of people? Does that say anything interesting about god or does it tell us more about the person experiencing it? Is your experience any more valid than that enjoyed by a Muslim rhapsodizing over the Koran or a Jew with the Cabala? How do you know? |

The Creationist Troll strikes again. breezy would be a good name, he's so harmless and cute, but breezy would also connote a predilection to communicate. I though he has us on ignore. |

Been done a few times. Remember, you came late to this "star" party. I don't think St Anselm's ontological argument has been presented. |
