How small we are, how awesome the universe.

Some look up at the stars and think how small they are.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.

I have a t-shirt around here someplace that affirms "I have seen the light of a trillion suns!" with a photograph of the NGC 7331 galaxy cluster like that below:

What a small, provincial universe the creationists paint for themselves. If I were god and had actually created the universe and the laws that control it, I'd be seriously pissed at the creationists in their insisting THEY know how it was done!

Yeah, the silly fools! Don't they know the Hubble is orbiting just below the innermost celestial sphere and all it's been doing is taking pictures of the holes in that sphere though which shines the light of the Primum Mobile?
