Personality:
Caleb has a superiority complex. Well, more accurately put, he has a superiority universe. He believes he is the greatest in the world and that mere talk or mention of another person being remotely as talented is pure jest. He puts his trust in his animals and gives respect only to other riders. Though he uses the serpent to its specific purposes, he feels he is a dragon rider purely and absolutely.

-----(Biography)
Caleb Auberon was originally names Jade Wentric of Paranor. he was an aspiring warrior of the forest who lived at the wood break looking to Whrethen. Sheltered and without loyalty to his country, he tried to live just coping with being a young adult and raising his daughter Malia. The Land was at war but he stayed out of it. It made no difference who ruled, as long as he could keep her safe. Her mother was a sweet rose whose petals wouldn't handle the cold and wilted. His daughter was all he had in the world.

Seasons came and went as the war got closer and closer to home, but still he kept her mind off the troubles and raised her as he had hoped. She was only four when the War came and took her form him. Jade was heartbroken and plead for the Scrai Majesty to revive her. She was all he had. They denied him. Outraged, he took up sword with the Paranor forces to battle the Whrethen forces only to be pushed back. The Paranok wanted to take the battle to Whrethen soil, but needed a way to push their forces back. Jade volunteered, knowing it would be his dying mission. He would have died that she may live, if he only had the chance. But now he would die that they would know she did.

On his hand was a very special spell. The spell of elemental Fireball. At close range, this spell could devastate a person. He was to break the line and do anything it took to send the mounted general to a burning afterlife. Charging the field, he made it past the front line, and was bombarded by a sea of soldiers. His battle cry was in vain. He didn't save her. He couldn't revive her. And now, he couldn't even get revenge for her. He was beaten and dragged to a camp of misfortune. There, he was tied to a post next to a man who was bleeding to death; They had slashed his throat and left him to die tied to the stake.

It all became clear that Jade was a Myconian when he noticed the Red Dragon being imprisoned by of Scrai magicians. They were using an imprison spell, and though she fought against the barrier, it couldn't be broken. The dragon screamed as a separate man fell limp and blood ran down his chest. Instantly, he knew how that beast felt: She had lost the one thing that meant everything to her. He weaseled his way free and used the rune spell on his left hand to cast the fireball blasting through the murdering spellcaster. The barrier weakened and the beast flew free. His arm was caught by the guard and the back of his hand slashed to block the rune form being of use. With a smile, he laid there to await judgment.

The guard master beat him into unconsciousness, but didn't stop there. The man pounded Jade until he was nearly bleeding form the eyes. Jade awoke nearly two weeks later. His memory was gone. The bed he was in was soft but he couldn't remember if it was his or not. Getting up, he headed out, though he didn't know he was in Myconia. The people were surprised to see him moving around after such an injury. Unfortunately, they were no help in determining who he was. The older woman who was taking care of him told him that he was Caleb, her son who went venturing into the woods, was lost and has now returned by the wings of a dragon. Something felt wrong about this, but he had nothing else so he accepted it. The people were quite impressed that he had tamed a dragon when he wasn't a part of the dragon riders, but Sakra had chosen him.

The next day, he went before the riders to ask if he may join. They immediately recognized Sakra, but weren't so inviting to him. He had no background, and no proof that he didn't just kill the rider and take the dragon as his slave. He only had the dragon to show that she trusted him. But, they had no time to debate. The war was killing the country but news of the alliance gave hope to the riders. He was told to carve his own place in the riders by going into battle. So he did.

Quickly he discovered his fighting ability and the war raged. When the battle ended and the Scrai were exiled, he had found a home. These people who he fought beside became the only thing he could respect. His dragon was his only family. He has forgotten why he fights. He knows deep down there is a reason, but its so clouded that he can never understand. So he masks this yearning as simply wanting to be the best.
