When your character has sustained a great deal amount of damage, your character may activate what known as an Overdrive. These are attacks that are usually stronger in damage or may have a specific effect. For example some Overdrives deal amounts of damage whereas others may restore HP to a character or to the party. They also may deal status effects. Here on FF forever, Overdrives are allowed and are separated into 4 levels. level 1 being the lowest and level 4 being the highest. You may start out with a level 1 Overdrive if you wish to but no higher. Already made character can also obtain an overdrive by going through the approval process. Presently you may only have 1 overdrive of each level. In order to obtain a level 2 overdrive, you must already have a level 1 overdrive. To obtain a level 3 overdrive you must already have a level 2 overdrive and to obtain a level 4 overdrive you must already have a level 3. Whether or not you are approved in your request for an overdrive will depend on numerous factors such as when was the last time you got an overdrive for this particular character, whether the ability is overpowered for that particular level or whether you have all the previously leveled overdrives or not. |
