As a modder who tries to keep most of his epic mods correct based on lore (at least most of them. :3 ), I often do research into the various histories of Tamriel for mods that delve into that history. I know quite a bit about the Third Era, the Second Era, the First Era, and the Mythic Era (Era of the Elves). But I've never researched into before the Mythic Era. Can anyone give me a good, perhaps, long summary about any events know before that Era? I'd like to get some info to fit the pieces of the puzzle for this mod that I am designing currently. The mod that myself and another are creating, dubbed for now as "Forgotten Memories" entails the exploration of a massive Oubliette built far underneath Tamriel, and expands EVERYWHERE in Tamriel. The Oubliette is going to be known as "Anihiliss", and back in the First and part of the Second Era. Once discovered, it was used as a place where the undesirables, prisoners of war, and those who opposed the powerful were thrown into. However, the many exits and entrances to the oubliette were all eventually sealed off (theoretically), and in the late Second Era, it became all but forgotten. This mod is pretty huge. Adding, literally, an entire continent under Tamriel. The twist is that it was built long before it was discovered. Many speculating that it was built during the Mythic Era at some point, though it was actually built long before that. So I need to know if there is any known information on the periods before the Mythic Era. |

before the mythic era was the Dawn, a schizophrenic time when gods walked the earth. anything could happen there, and anything did. building a mod in this time requires a significant suspension of disbelief and will be lore rape at best. now, this doesnt mean you cant make your mod, but i would not try to base the existence of such a thing in the dawn (or even the merethic, as it retains many of the dawn's qualities) |
