Why I love CD Projekt Red

MThe Witcher 3 is the end of Geralt's story, but he could reappear in future storiesy Webpage

"CD Projekt Red will also continue its consumer friendly policy of offering free DLC, though console platform holders come with certain rules.

"Sometimes you cannot just give content for free," Mamais said. "We will do our best to choose the most gamer friendly solution, and honestly speaking, should the need be — if we will be able to afford it — in many cases we will pay out of pocket for that. Please don't forget we are an independent studio, but I really believe that DLC and updates are free things."

If they pay for it out of pocket, I want to be able to pitch in. lol

I have played it; I haven't finished it. I think it was the second one I played, and about three hours in I wasn't having fun, so I put it down and never went back.

I imagine the moral ambiguity and complex political narrative would be quite a shock to someone accustomed to spiky haired teens saving the world with the power of friendship ;)

It, uh...does take some time to get into gear though.

You know I've played/finished Final Fantasy Tactics, many times, maybe to the point of obsession. And I don't think it gets any more moral ambiguous or complex political narrative than Final Fantasy Tactics. If it has, I haven't seen it. I know Ramza and Alma are teens, sure, but they're certainly not using the power of friendship in FFT. Yes, I saw the wink. ^_^

I dunno, it's kind of a blur thinking back on it, I'm not exactly sure what it was that wasn't pulling me in. I just... wasn't having fun. And having fun is a big part of gaming to me. I might have judged it unfairly, but... first impressions are a big deal.

I love them, and I can't wait for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
