Oh, I remember waiting 25 minutes for a C64 Tape drive to load a game. Still pretty certain that the win 3.11 pre-cd release is still the most labour instensive, and inordinately clunky OS install ever.

Ran the tests tonight

7.6 on my gaming computer, with 7.9 for graphics and gaming graphics.

7.8 on my media pc, with 7.8 across the board and 8.0 on Primary Hard disk

Funny that the 12gb RAM machine got a 7.6 for RAM and the 8gb machine got a 7.8.

This implies you CAN get up to 8.9 now. You're slacking, Colin. :P

So you're like, the opposite of us. Your other hardware is holding back your HDD. And now that I know that 8.9 exists, I am no longer impressed with your 7.9 rig. So much for all the 'bitches' flocking to your 'best rig'. jester::

That's interesting. @_@

Which RAM do you have in each machine?

As for the RAM issue, it's actually perfectly natural that it scores lower when there's more of it. The less memory your PC has, the faster it can be accessed.

So your 24GB of RAM is actually a detriment?

Well, it would run faster if I had less of it, however due to my cpu/mobo etc, and the raw BUS speed of the RAM itself, It still runs faster than everyone elses :P

Don't MOBOs that support quad channel memory actually read it faster with 4 sticks, rather than 2?
