I figured Windows 8 would have bumped the max to 8.9. :P

But nice.

I'm still rocking a 5.9, myself, but that's because I'm being held back by my HDD. I'd be a 6.5 otherwise (processor).

Is it even possible to break 5.9 on Data Transfer Rate without going to solid state? I'm assuming you have solid state.

Jukain I couldn't answer the first question, I'm not sure exactly what the calculation matrix is, however I CAN tell you that I do have solid state.

*I can also tell you that the end result returned is the lowest result of any component.

I don't know what those numbers mean but it's probably kickass.

And 24GB of ram? Is that a thing?

Colin, what are your specs? Also, why didn't you go with a 3770k so you can OC?

Posted Image

Intel i5-3570k@4.5GHz | Sapphire Vapor-X HD 7970@1235/1700 | 8 GB G.Skill Ripjaw X | Asus P8Z77-V Pro | Corsair 500R | Corsair HX750 | 1 TB Seagate HDD | 120 GB Intel 520 SSD

It looks like my CPU and my RAM are holding me back from hitting 7.9. I'm purchasing another 8 GB soon, but only because I'm an enthusiast, not because I feel it's necessary. My CPU is perfectly fine until Broadwell hits, though.

My SSD is, for some reason, as well, but I dunno why.

I remember programming on a VAX minicomputer connected to a star coupler with a number of huge platter hard disk drives. :-)

I remember when I played Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII on my Windows 95 PC. Good times.

But that's as far back as I'll go.

I remember all the cool little tricks they'd do for DRM back in the day, like quizzing you on the manual. I was furious when my friend sold me his copy of Warcraft 1 secondhand and I had to go to the local hobby store, ask to see a manual, memorize the word on page three hundred and something, and repeat it to myself as my mom drove me home.

That's pretty hardcore. I can't say that I've experienced that.
