:) I dunno...

You make a strong argument... Now that I'm actually playing FO3 I can see some of your points... New Vegas is a bit boring... Less to see and do... And (imo) the New Vegas story was a bit cack... Also the strip was very disappointing... I'm on the fence atm.

New Vegas had better characters, and such... But... It's a close one!

Fallout 3 has better exploration and general atmosphere. New Vegas has better weapons, armor, dlc. Still prefer Fallout 3 which I have said many times in different threads.

The Capital Wasteland looked more wasteland-y. That's about the only thing I could say Fallout 3 had over New Vegas.

Fallout 3 is crazy good though.

I didn't even want to explore those terrible wastelands in New Vegas. In 3 I was like huh... what's that? Checkin' it out.

I prefer New Vegas to 3 because of the setting; much less depressing and more varied scenery. Enjoyed the story more too.

From the little bit that I've played. New Vegas, (Just got Boone as my companion and helping out the Blight followers) I am loving the dialogue in this game. I enjoyed 3 as well, I mean how could you not with Liam Neeson in the mix,

But idk, I feel like this is a different time frame than 3. Does anyone know, is New Vegas happening at the same time as 3 or are they years and years apart?

It takes place after 3, just on the side of the country that the previous games took place in.

I was wondering because it definitely seems like they are more established in New Vegas than they were in DC.

Wastelands are suppose to be grim. 3 probably could have used more colors. But I thought new vagas was all about the variations of brown. Now if someone could combine the two games it would be epic. I hear you can on pc with mods. If you have both games you can have a character from new vegas visit DC and such. Once consoles figure out a way to allow mods from pc to be transferred to consoles smoothly and legally it will be the shit.

New Vegas easily gets my vote...although...I so badly wish they had done more with "New Vegas." It looked awesome, but there just wasn't really anything to do there.

I far preferred FO3. New Vegas had quite a few nice features, like the food and water survival element, but was altogether too sparse. FO3 was much more densely packed.
