This, but add Bo. The kids got a lot of heart, and a lot of talent.

A little bit of Larry David, and Louis CK

Also, my favorite of all time? Conan O'Brien.

Nah. Pryor would be right up there as well. Course it all comes down to opinion in the long run.

Well, him and Pryor were great friends, and they pretty much went back and forth with that title I guess.

Pryor, Murphy, Carlin are probably my favorites. Steven Wright is ok, was my favorite when I first heard him, but just doesn't grab me like he used to. There's a lot of really great others but for some reason those first comedians that I saw still rank up there.

He's funny in bursts, but his entire schtick revolves around offending various groups as often as possible.

I always found Carlin to be more intelligent then his peers, he'll always be my favorite. I was fortunate enough to see him live once before he died.

Glad I didn't see a single mentio of Dane Cook!

I actually don't really follow comedians anymore, but I spent hours and hours laughing my ass of to George Carlin, Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor and Sam Kinnison (R.I.P) cassettes (yep, that dated!) back in college.

I also want to give Bill Cosby a nod....I know Eddie Murhy sort of ragged on him once since he didn't use profanity, but I must say Cosby was very good at getting laughs without getting raunchy. That really does take talent.

Oh, and how could I forget Chris Rock. Now that is one funny guy.

Haven't watched a lot of standup in recent years but when I was around 14-16 I watched them a lot. Gabriel Iglaceus (forgive my spelling, always get that wrong) was awesome when he first started and when he was on Last Comic Standing.

Always been a fan of Bill Engvall and Jeff Dunham too.

There was one guy that had me rolling but I can never remember his name. The only jokes I really remember are one where he and his wife (or was it ex-wife?) got in a fight and then she asked for him back and when he got back there she was wearing red high-heel shoes, a necklace....and nothing else.

He also had one about his dad always disapproving of what he does so he always did better to prove his dad wrong and then when he had everything in his life sorted his dad said ".....Well you wouldn't have gotten that far if I hadn't given you a hard time!"

Can't remember his name but this guy had me laughing so hard it hurt. And like the kind of laugh where I wasn't even laughing out loud, the kind of laugh that is silent but you are assuredly laughing so hard you could die. (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

I always found Bill Engvall to be a bit too tame. Also, sexism is a pretty boring comedy subject, just for my preference.

I like Daniel Tosh really. It's nice to see a white comedian have the balls to make race jokes ( something it seems only Black or Asian comics can get away with now days).

I also enjoy

Patrice Oneal
Bill Burr
Old school Eddie Murphy
Pryor
Carlin
Jim Florentine
Joe Derosa
Colin Quinn
Dave Atell
Bob Saget

Just to name a few

I've only watched whole shows by Russell Peters and Eddie Murphy; about 3 or 4 for Russell and just 2 for Eddie. IMO, Russell is fairly consistent, whereas Eddie has one awesome show and one so-so show (I forget which show is which).

Edit: Oh wait, I've seen maybe 2 full shows by Jeff Dunham. I thought they were funny, though I can see that his material has the possibility of getting weaker over time.
