One of the few videos The Alan Parsons Project did. I love the song, but the style of the video puts it over the top into "absolute classic" status.

This song is what got me back into music as a regular thing, and also introduced me to the world of metal. From here, I went on to become big fans of groups like Demon Hunter and, of course, Opeth. Don't listen to much metal anymore, but this song will forever be a favorite and a landmark in my music career.

Anyone remember this?

Our Lady Peace - Is Anybody Home?

Or possibly this one may be more recognizable:

Our Lady Peace - Clumsy

I'm a developing Frank S. fan(I only have about a fifty year career's worth of music to listen too...), and this is my favorite of his so far.
I just love the 2 versions of Fly Me to the Moon in Bayonetta. ;)

I listen to a ton of stuff, but Roy Orbison, played often in my house when growing up, is by far one of the greatest vocalists ever. Even Elvis Presley, who was big at the same time as Roy, called Roy the greatest singer ever.

And for an added bonus, here is the song in a most fucked up movie I am also recommending :

I like that kungfucolin. Kind of reminds me of Portishead:

Oh hell yeah Gorilla... I absolutely fucking love Jimi Hendrix. His blues stuff too, i forget what that was called.

EDIT: Band of Gypsys

I used to watch Buddy Guy every year at Sumemrfest... he's no Hendrix, but he does have a bit of him in him, and the way he just pulls some of that shit out of the air in a live show... reminds me of Hendrix.

There's a bunch of 90s stuff (and 80s stuff like the Clash I posted) that I didn't like back then, but now it makes sense to me. Even some real pop like stuff like Cranberries.

Yeah, I have a wide taste in music spread across 4 or 5 decades. But, for me, nothing is better than good old fashioned cheese of the 70s and 80s!

Thanks to my daughter, I have rediscovered this best selling classic...

Band of Gypsys is the shit. Sometimes I preferred that band over the Experience band. I definitely prefer Billy Cox's bass playing. This was one of my favorites:

the build up to 4:35 when he cuts back in with the fast part is fucking awesome

I dig all of Jimi's stuff pretty equally - I love how he crossed over genre barriers and just made... music.

Dude was a true artist.

^ No disagreement there. I was talking more about the bassist and drummer. I loved both bands, but sometimes I lean more towards one or the other.
