Post a song; Ah, such sweet lavender for my ears

Okay, so the idea is to just post one song that you think the rest of us will either like, or was your absolute favorite song for a time being, or something, but make it a good one. We'll try to just post one song a piece at first, so we can actually listen to everyone's suggestions.

If you want, you can point out your favorite sections, or leave a blurb about what you like about the song, or what makes it special.

I'll start with this: I've been an Avenged Sevenfold fan for a very long time, and it was truly sad when their drummer died at just 29 years old. They nearly broke up as a band, but instead, put out a really successful album, with this as their main tribute. I think the lyrics really can apply to anyone's loss.

The old images they start putting up at 3:30, combined with the music, gives me chills nearly every time. So, without further ado, let the music roll.

Avenged Sevenfold - So Far Away

I'm a developing Frank S. fan(I only have about a fifty year career's worth of music to listen too...), and this is my favorite of his so far.

Yeah it did that too Arucard's link as well. The music was just too good to be contained in that small ass video player.

Well the song is called We Will Roam by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy. If you can find a link that works its well worth a listen.

I found a version Heeleeham, but for some reason it wasn't readily obvious. I didn't even see a version on youtube for some reason. The song was awesome though, Myles Kennedy has a pretty sweet voice.

Okay, this topic is in desperate need of a bump. There's too much here to be ignored.
Okay, where to begin, in no particular order:

Gorilla - Giving this another listen right now. I can't quite put my finger on it, they remind me of an old school jam band mixed with Alice in Chains. Great vibe to it.

Bluehat - Never really listened to the white stripes, but I really like the presence of Jack White in that video.

Gabe - Big Opeth fan here already, not much I can add. =)

Prealienking - I hate Sinatra, sorry man, fortunately this will affect your life in precisely 0 ways.

Heleeham - I saw Myles Kennedy do the Hall of Fame induction with Slash and really got into it. I immediately looked up who he was afterwards, and I try listening to some Alter Bridge whenever it comes up. I found that song just by doing a bing search, and listening through zune or whatever it is.

Aru - David Bowie has always, and will always, be a pimp.

Cap - I feel like this is a good representation of the "90s." Not much else 90s in here, except Gorilla's song I suppose. Pretty interesting video, I'll have to give it another look. I misses some of it typing this up, and when I looked up at it there was some.... strange things happening.

Bossk - Haha, early metal. Kinda my least favorite type of stuff with a few exceptions.

Colin - I'm sure I could get into this in the right mood. It's a bit slow for how I feel right now. I've gotta go back and read the lyrics though.

I hate finding new music, taking the journey into the unknown is always unpleasant. Knowing that everything posted in this topic is of top quality makes it no so scary. I don't have anything on my mind worth posting right now, but I'll find something soon.

Ah I haven't seen that performance yet. Axl is such a dick for not even showing up. I keep meaning to give Alter Bridge a listen myself.

Yeah pretty much. It was a 'supergroup' as they say with the singer from Alice In Chains, and a couple guys from Pearl Jam and Screaming Trees.

They had 1 album but a lot of good tracks

I kind of want to post two songs, this first one is a song off this bands first new album in twelve years, it released earlier this week

This band is slightly psychedelic but with some definite 60's and 70's rock influences
